My Story

Raised in a solid blue-collar community in Kentucky, then paying my way through college working construction, I finally entered the corporate world at the age of twenty-three. After working my way up the corporate ladder to executive positions with a multi-billion-dollar corporation, I ultimately followed my childhood dream and started my first business in 2004 at the age of 41. Now, as a successful entrepreneur, CEO and the owner of multiple companies, I am engaging in another one of my passions - teaching and sharing what I have learned during my journey, and what I continue to experience in my daily work and interactions with others.

My businesses afford me the privilege to work with a combination of individuals including CEOs and C-suite executives, management professionals, skilled tradespeople, young professionals and college students. At every opportunity, I enjoy hearing their stories and experiences. Often they will seek my advice or perspectives, but more often than not, their stories and experiences teach me more than I may ever help them.

I hope that from the insights, experiences, and stories I share, others can gain guidance on personal and professional growth, career development, work/life balance, relationships, principles and values which apply to an assortment of situations that occur in everyday life and business.

My Perspective

I believe there are four fundamentals which should be followed in defining one’s journey and ultimately their success.

Seek First

Consistently and constantly, one must first seek to understand the plan and purpose for their lives, whether it be short or long term.  I believe we all have many purposes, and often we don’t realize these until they are finished. However, we must never stop seeking what life has in store for us.

Learn & Grow

Continual growth, whether through learning, experiences or maturity is not only a must for success, but for life. Every day we must look for ways to experience growth in all aspects.

Achieve

Learning and growth is meaningless unless it is applied. Take what you learn, and the talents and skills you have been given, and then apply these to achieve the results you want to see in your life, and in your career.

Live

Life is without a doubt is meant to be lived. Whether through your work, your interests, your relationships or whatever provides meaning and interest – embrace life and live it with passion.

In Their Words

Hear from young professionals and inspiring entrepreneurs who I have worked with in the past.

“If you end your training now, if you choose the quick and easy path, as Vader did, you will become an agent of evil. If the Millennium Falcon went into light-speed, it'll be on the other side of the galaxy by now.”

Alta

“Yes, I was once a Jedi Knight the same as your father. I wish I'd known him. If the Millennium Falcon went into light-speed, it'll be on the other side of the galaxy by now.”
